Matrix Otto wall light with eight adjustable arms
The 8-bulb Matrix Otto wall light has a very minimalist and technical appearance, thanks to the light arms, which are attached all around the central element in every direction. They consist of individual steel struts and feature nothing more than an E27 socket at each end. The arms can be adjusted downwards to an angle of 90°. Depending on the choice of bulb, the 8-bulb Matrix Otto wall light can be altered both in its appearance and in its light distribution. It looks particularly attractive – as shown in the photo – with clear globe bulbs.
The industrial designer and academic Yaacov Kaufman designed a series of lights for the Italian lighting manufacturer Lumina back in 2000. The idea came to him whilst conducting research into friction mechanisms.
Lumina Italia manufactures lights according to the principle of ‘plenty of light – minimal lamp’.
