The Matrix Otto 8-bulb pendant light features eight adjustable stainless steel arms attached to the light’s round central element, each of which can be individually adjusted as desired. Each arm holds just a single E27 socket; lampshades have been omitted entirely. The choice of bulb (clear or tinted globe bulbs with filament technology look particularly attractive) allows you to alter the appearance of the pendant light as well as its lighting effect.

The Matrix Otto pendant light was designed by industrial designer Yaacov Kaufman. As part of his research into friction mechanisms, he conceived the idea for the Matrix series of lights as early as 2000; the series of lights is characterised by its minimalist yet sophisticated design.

The Israeli industrial designer and academic Yaacov Kaufman designed a series of lights for the Italian lighting manufacturer LUMINA. The company manufactures lights according to the principle of ‘lots of light – little lamp’ and combines form and function to create simple, high-quality products, some of which have become icons on the market.
