Israeli industrial designer and academic Yaacov Kaufman designed the Matrix light series back in 2000 for the Italian lighting manufacturer LUMINA. LUMINA products are characterised by their durability and very high quality. They are manufactured in Italy and LUMINA attaches great importance to sustainability in the selection and procurement of materials as well as in production and even packaging. The materials required to manufacture the lights are mainly sourced locally, the energy required is largely generated by solar panels and only recyclable materials are used for packaging.
