VL Ring Crown wall light combines an attractive design and functionality
The VL Ring Crown wall light consists of a rounded lampshade that is made of handblown opal glass and open at the bottom. Therefore, the light is primarily directed downwards. However, the opal glass ensures a soft and even illumination of the immediate vicinity. The light is attached to the wall by an untreated brass wall mount, which also houses the push switch.
The lights were designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for the broadcasting building in Copenhagen and many of them have been installed there. Lauritzen is still one of Denmark’s most important architects. With his architectural practice, he has worked on many projects with the lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen, whose product range now includes the design of VL Ring Crown.
