Designer floor lamp AJ - adjustable light direction The AJ floor lamp is now a design classic, having been created by the Danish architect and designer Arn Jacobsen back in 1957. Jacobsen developed the luminaire series named after its creative creator as part of his overall concept for the SAS Royal (Radisson) Hotel in Copenhagen. Some elements of this hotel interior have become true design icons, including the purist floor lamp AJ. The viewer's focus is drawn to the lampshade, which is designed as a cone in the lower section and as a cylinder in the upper section, forming the light emitted in a natural way. The orientation of the lampshade can be adjusted so that the light is directed in the desired direction.
