The Light-Air pendant light, made entirely from thermoplastic technopolymer, was designed by Eugeni Quitllet, a Catalan designer, for the Kartell brand. Light-Air is very minimalist, with no elaborate details or eye-catching design. It is a modern, functional light that has been reduced to the essentials: a suspension system and a lampshade. The lampshade, which is attached solely to a rectangular plastic panel, has a textured surface that refracts the light and diffuses it into the room in a unique way.

The Italian company Kartell is a manufacturer with a rich history. It has been producing its designer pieces in Italy for over 70 years, and to honour this heritage, Kartell even opened its own museum at the company’s headquarters just over 20 years ago. Kartell regularly collaborates with internationally renowned designers and continually produces new creations – in 2020, this included the launch of the first chair made from 100 per cent recycled thermoplastic technopolymer at imm cologne and Maison et Objet.
