Big Battery was designed by the Italian designer Ferruccio Laviani, who has already created many successful designs for Kartell as well as for other well-known furniture and lighting manufacturers. Laviani studied at Milan Polytechnic and was a student of Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso, among others.
