Oyster floor lamp – a design product by Forestier
The lampshade of the Oyster floor lamp is the most striking feature of the light and gives it its special appeal. The two metal rings are woven with cotton threads. In the centre, as in an oyster, is the heart of the bulb, the "pearl": the bulb. To prevent glare, it is covered by a round disc so that indirect light can escape into the room.
Jette Scheib is the designer of this light. Scheib studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and now lives and works in Barcelona. She finds inspiration in her surroundings, in people and in how people interact with objects. Her lights are functional, but they also have their own personality and create atmospheric lighting.
