Hashira round ceiling light with linen shade
The Hashira ceiling light is a Nordic interpretation of the traditional Japanese paper lantern. In Japanese, ‘Hashira’ means ‘pillar’, which reflects the shape of the lampshade. The cylindrical lampshade is made from linen, a natural material whose charm lies in the irregularities of its weave – a feature that gives the ceiling light its distinctive character.
The Hashira series of lights was designed by the design team Norm Architects, which works in the fields of architecture, graphic design, art direction and commercial interior design, and was founded in Copenhagen in 2008. The designers place great emphasis on timelessness and durability.
