Spherical ceiling light in Bauhaus style The ceiling light is a new edition based on Marianne BRANDT, who created the original in 1926 at the Weimar Bauhaus. Purist design meets the unusual triple suspension with the spherical lampshade made of white opal glass. Unlike the original model, this was made of nickel-plated metal; the aluminium used in the original is more fragile and therefore less durable. Die ceiling light can be ordered in four different versions: The size of the globe and canopy can be chosen according to preference. Note: It is advised not to use bulbs with clear glass bulbs, as these could cast shadows on the glass of the lampshade.
The manufacturer - the lighting company Tecnolumen - vouches for the quality of the ceiling light with the stamp bearing the inscription Tecnolumen /Bauhaus and a continuous number. Tecnolumen - authorised reproductions of classic Meisterwerke The lamp company Tecnolumen, founded by Walter Schnepel, gives new lustre to the famous pieces of the Bauhaus, Art Decós and De Stijls. In 1979, Wilhelm Wagenfeld's table lamp was the first model that Tecnolumen meticulously reproduced and made available in a re-edition. The lighting manufacturer is the only one to hold the licence for this. In addition to works by Wagenfeld and Marianne BRANDT, Tecnolumen has many other pieces from the Bauhaus era in its programme. Contemporary designers also create lights for the company, including founder Walter Schnepel.
