The extraordinary VELI pendant light is manufactured by the designer company Slamp. It is based in Rome, the capital of Italy. It was founded in the early 1990s. The founder is Roberto Ziliani. After several years of working as a designer, he discovered his passion for light and lighting. The Slamp design studio pays close attention to high quality, ensuring that all of the lights it manufactures are beautiful and durable. But that's not what makes it so extraordinary. What makes it truly special is its ability to use and develop old and new materials without prejudice. It uses classic materials such as leather, crystal, stainless steel and copper. On the other hand, the employees at the Slamp design studio also develop and patent completely new materials. These materials include Opalflex®, which is also the main component of the VELI pendant light. Opalflex® was used to create many individual ruffles, giving the lampshade the appearance of a flower. The colour is opal white. Depending on the version, this also applies to the tips. However, the VELI pendant light is also available with tips in plum or anthracite. The lampshade is 50 cm high and has a diameter of 60 cm. It can be suspended to a depth of 150 cm. Despite these dimensions, the entire pendant light weighs only 2.1 kg, making it easy to hang and change the four 20 W bulbs. It has protection class II and IP code 20.
