Indirect LED wall light Cellule - an interplay of light and shadow The Cellule wall light manufactured by the Italian company Martinelli Luce consists of a flat, white lacquered aluminium plate in a square basic shape, which is made up of numerous roundish elements in different sizes. The designers Donia Maaoui and Michel Boucquillon modelled this furnishing element on organic tissue, which is made up of a large number of individual cells. The LEDs integrated at the back behind a methacrylate diffuser illuminate the wall and shine indirectly through the small gaps in the apparent cell structure, creating an appealing effect of light and dark sections.
