Suspension lamp Mercer made of blown glass with diffuser made of polyester
The suspension lamp Mercer descends from the canopy on three steel cables, between which the connection cable runs. The base for the cylindrical shade, open at the bottom, is blown glass. It encloses a diffuser made of polyester, which slightly dims the light emitted from the sides and provides a pleasant atmosphere. Inside the shade, depending on the version, there are one or two sockets for separately available E27 bulbs.
Mercer was created in 2005 by the designers Joan Gaspar and Javier M. Borrás, who show how much aesthetics can be captured in a simple form at first glance. Thus, the special grace of this glass pendant lamp arises mainly from the way in which the different materials are combined with each other, and the diffuser seems to literally float inside the glass body.
