Kartell Bourgie table lamp, copper, 78 cm, dimmable E14 LED

Dimmable designer LED table lamp ‘Bourgie’ by Ferruccio Laviani

The stylised design of the ‘Bourgie’ table lamp, made entirely from plastic, combines Baroque elements (base) with classical ones (lampshade) and, as a whole, represents a harmonious blend of the classical and the innovative. What makes the Bourgie innovative is the idea of crafting a table lamp that incorporates classical, Baroque patterns and stylistic elements from the modern material of plastic. To enhance user convenience, the lamp has been fitted with a dimmer.

The Italian company Kartell is renowned for its innovations in plastic. Since the 1950s, designers have been developing plastic furniture, household goods and lights for the Milan-based company. Over the years, Kartell has not only received numerous design awards for its work but has also established its own museum, which preserves and showcases the company’s cultural, intellectual and material heritage.
