Ibiza ceiling light with hand-woven bamboo lampshade
Fine bamboo strips have been hand-woven to form the lampshade of the Ibiza ceiling light, resulting in a beautifully shaped lampshade that is reminiscent of a sun hat with wavy brim.
The lampshade of the Ibiza series of lights is made from bamboo.
Bamboo is one of the label’s core materials and is characterised by its versatility. It grows very quickly – up to one metre a day – and can be harvested in 3 to 5 years. Once cut, new shoots continually grow back from the roots.
The light looks particularly decorative when fitted with an LED filament LED bulb, perhaps even a globe-shaped one. The open design of the shade, with its many gaps, creates unique effects of light and shadow.
