Foscarini Chouchin Reverse 1 E27 LED gold/white

Chouchin Reverse 1 pendant light by Foscarini in white with a coloured detail

Chouchin is a pendant light whose design is reminiscent of traditional Japanese lanterns. Originally made from paper or bamboo and used outside homes, shops and pubs for guidance or as good-luck charms, these lanterns inspired the French designer Ionna Vautrin to create a series of lights for the Italian lighting company Foscarini. In modern living spaces, restaurants, bars or other commercial settings, the Chouchin pendant light, made from handblown and lacquered glass, creates a warm and atmospheric glow. As well as casting direct light onto the surface below, the light is also diffused gently and evenly through the glass into the room, creating a very atmospheric and pleasant ambience.

The Chouchin range comprises lights in various shapes and colourways that can be combined beautifully with one another. With a coloured lampshade and a white ring at the base, as a ‘Reverse’ version in inverted colourways, or even in a completely monochrome design, the range offers the perfect option for every room and every taste.
