The LEDs built into the lampshade emit their warm white, colour-fast (CRI < 90) light glare-free in all directions through the blown opal glass shade; the surface below, such as a table or Theke, is directly illuminated downwards through the shade opening. The Chouchin 3 Bianco LED pendant light can be used individually or combined with several lights in identical or different versions to illuminate a wide variety of areas. The French designer Ionna Vautrin created the lights for the Italian lighting company Foscarini. She was inspired to design the Chouchin luminaire series by the traditional paper or bamboo lanterns that hang in front of restaurants or houses in Japan as illuminated signs or lucky charms. Chouchin 3 Bianco 3 embodies their appearance as an evenly shining sphere to perfection - a high-quality, stylish light source for both private and public interiors.
