Foscarini Chouchin 1 – an elegant pendant light in the style of Japanese lanterns

For the design of the Chouchin series by Foscarini, French designer Ionna Vautrin drew inspiration from the appearance, poetry and magic of Japanese lanterns. The result is three different Chouchin models, which vary in shape and colour. They can be used either individually or grouped together in an ensemble, creating a real eye-catcher for any room.

The Chouchin 1 impresses with its warm orange colour, which provides a striking contrast to the white lower section. The body of the light is made from handblown and lacquered glass. The colour is intense, brilliant and completely opaque. Light escapes only through the lower opening, transforming the lower section into a glowing ring of light. The direct lighting effect makes the Chouchin 1 LED pendant light ideal for illuminating dining tables, bars or counters. It casts a soft, warm light that creates a special and inviting atmosphere.
