Foscarini Birdie LED grande - LED designer table lamp with touch dimmer In 2011, Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, a designer couple from Milan, completely reinterpreted the form and function of the classic table lamp with lampshade and designed the Birdie table lamp for the renowned lighting manufacturer Foscarini. On closer inspection, you realise that they were inspired by Nature. Then you recognise the similarities between the shaft, which becomes thinner towards the top, and a tree trunk, between the conically shaped lampshade and a treetop and between the filigran cross strut and a branch. And it is precisely this branch that is made to welcome a little birdie - which is how the table lamp got its name. Made of high-quality materials - the base and stem are made of lacquered metal, the lampshade is made of translucent polycarbonate - Birdie makes a statement in terms of design and lighting effect. Whether placed on the floor or on a table, the light is a stylish eye-catcher, no matter what colour it is presented in. Thanks to its absolute absence of glare, it fills the room with diffuse, pleasant ambient lighting that can be gradually adjusted as required using the touch dimmer built into the crossbar.
