Nebulis pendant light with a lampshade made of raw silk fibres Nebulis is a series of lamps created by French designer Élise Fouin in collaboration with Sericyne, a French manufacturer of silk fleece. The fleece is made from silk threads that the silkworms spin onto the surfaces on which they are laid. The naturally produced silk fleece is created from these threads, which are brought into a cloud-like shape layer by layer, creating the airy volume. The Nebulis pendant light floats in the room like a fragrant lenticular cloud and enchants with its breathtaking lighting effect. The light is lively, soft and warm and seems to move. Élise Fouin is a French designer who trained at the École Boulle in Paris. Her designs range from spectacular furnishings to lights. The Nebulis collection showcases a skill that is unique in the world, glorifying the material of natural silk, which is characterised by its resistance, lightness, light output and softness. Élise Fouin is always on the lookout for new challenges and says of herself: "In all my creations, I like to alienate the material in order to invent new construction principles"
