Chanpen hanging light with a lampshade made from hemp fibres
The designer, Anon Pairot, named the series of lights Chanpen after his mother. Chanpen means ‘full moon’, which is extremely apt given the shape of the light. The circular frame, which serves as the structure for the lampshade, has been covered with hemp fibres (abaca), creating a pattern of hexagons. The hemp fibre fabric allows the light to pass through gently, ensuring cosy, glare-free lighting.
Anon Pairot has previously worked for renowned companies such as Fendi, Habitat and Grohe. He enjoys working with natural materials and has been able to express this preference in the Chanpen series of lights for the French manufacturer Forestier.
