Floor lamp IC F by FLOS - a floating ball on a rod
Michael Anastassiades, the designer of this floor lamp, has been inspired by a juggler in his design. The latter had several balls run from his fingertips and back over his arms. Just as the balls ran over the juggler's arms, so does the glass ball of the floor lamp - with the difference that it does not move. It is frozen in perfect balance on the arm of the frame, symbolizing balance and the feeling of being in equilibrium.
In addition to the IC family of lights, Michael Anastassiades has created other lights for the Italian designer lighting company FLOS. These include String Light and Copycat, among others. The designers who work for FLOS have already received many awards, both nationally and internationally, for their works
