'Flechtwerk' floor lamp, funnel-shaped, graphite

A stunning ‘Flechtwerk’ designer floor lamp with magnificent lighting effects

Like most designer products, this floor lamp also boasts all sorts of special features, not all of which are immediately apparent at first glance. The appearance, however, is naturally one of the first things that strikes the observer. The dark lampshade opens upwards in a funnel-like shape, making it functionally similar to an uplighter. The lighting effect is similarly cosy, though the lampshade of the ‘Flechtwerk’ designer floor lamp stands out thanks to its unique structure, which is also reminiscent of a chequerboard. Openings in the lampshade and the small, graphite-coloured elements alternate in a defined pattern and, when the light is switched on, create an elegant lighting effect that not only illuminates the light itself but also the surrounding surfaces, where a stunning pattern of light and shadow is projected. The lampshade was also produced using a 3D printing process.
