Made from old PET bottles: 3D printed pendant light Diamant Bowl
When it comes to sustainability, the Diamant Bowl pendant luminaire is right out in front: its shade was made from old PET bottles. The crystal-clear PETG material is free of toxic substances and can also be returned to the industrial cycle and recycled at the end of its life as a lampshade. In addition, PETG is just as durable as other materials for decorative objects of this kind. The bioplastic can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, is light and stable as well as UV and heat resistant up to 80 degrees.
German company Tagwerk is dedicated to the previously little-known mass production of consumer goods using the 3D printer. Tagwerk designs and manufactures its products in Germany using only recycled and organic materials and electricity from renewable sources.
