It found its Grund almost 20 years ago, when founder Enzo Catellani designed it for a special commission that was never finalised, leaving the light hanging in the masterful workshop. However, when the special design and magical lighting effect amazed and fascinated every visitor to the workshop, Enzo Catellani decided to further develop and finalise the light. Today, the Fil de Fer light is one of Catellani & Smith's most representative models, as master craftsmanship, efficient LED lighting technology and the highest quality standards have gone into the years-long development of this successful classic light.
