Pirce – Designer pendant light in spiral shape

Aluminium rings of varying sizes with a white finish are assembled in such a way that they appear as a spiral when viewed as a whole. At the bottom of the spiral, where the smallest ring is located, there is a small round bowl that houses the bulb. This shines upwards, creating indirect light for the living space. An attractive side effect is that when the artfully assembled rings are illuminated, they create an interesting play of light on the ceiling.

Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, an Italian designer and industrial mechanic, has already worked as a senior project designer for high-tech companies. His collaboration with designer light manufacturer Artemide began with the design for the Pirce series of lights in 2008. Artemide is regarded worldwide as one of the leading manufacturers of designer lighting. Its headquarters are located in Pregnana near Milan. Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide now has five production facilities, two glass factories and a research and innovation centre with testing laboratories.
