Discovery Square LED hanging light with fascinating lighting effect Discovery Square is a very modern LED light source with a vertical alignment and low power that is almost unnoticeable when switched off and is ideal for atmospheric illumination not only of living spaces, but also of offices and conference rooms. The flat lampshade consists of a narrow aluminium frame with Edgelight lighting technology: this means that an LED strip is embedded in the frame all around, flooding the large technopolymer diffuser with bright light. The homogeneously emitted light offers a high level of visual comfort and fulfils the UGR standards for glare-free VDU work, making Discovery Square ideal as a lighting solution for modern Office areas such as coworking spaces - externally dimmable (Dali) The ultra-modern design was created by the co-founder of the manufacturing company Artemide - Ernesto Gismondi (1931-2020). Ernesto Gismondi, who studied aerospace engineering, developed and produced lighting systems from the early 1960s onwards. He was part of the avant-garde "Memphis" movement and his designs and products influenced design in Italy and around the world. The widely honoured designer was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1994 and the European Design Award in 1997. In 2018, he was honoured with the Compasso d'Oro for his life's work.
