DALI-dimmable LED pendant luminaire ALE.01 made of recycled material with direct and indirect light The ALE.01 pendant luminaire was designed by the internationally active design and architecture studio Hassell for the Italian premium luminaire manufacturer Artemide. Sustainability is at the heart of the concept: the flat body in the shape of a rounded rectangle is made of a composite material composed of the fibres of recycled wood waste and biopolymers or recycled plastics. In addition, ALE.01 is designed to provide the light needed all day long, eliminating the need for additional luminaires. For this purpose, the pendant luminaire is equipped with two downward-radiating and one upward-radiating LED module that can be individually switched and dimmed via DALI. The universal white light with good colour rendering (CRI90) is laterally shielded by the special optical lens equipment and the arrangement of the light sources in the body, so that a glare effect is minimised. Especially above workstations in larger offices, ALE.01 is therefore the perfect choice.
