The lampshade of the Eos X-large hanging light is made up of almost countless genuine feathers: around 6,000 goose feathers have been glued onto a paper base and shaped into a lampshade that captivates with its natural beauty even when unlit. You can practically see how fluffy it feels. This alone creates a cosy atmosphere, which is greatly enhanced as soon as the light is switched on and the pleasant, soft light from Eos fills the room.
Cleaning instructions: Should dust ever accumulate on Eos, it can be removed quickly and easily using a hairdryer.
This unusual hanging light was created by Søren Ravn Christensen, the Danish designer, creative developer and co-founder of the lighting manufacturer UMAGE. UMAGE’s primary aim is to create lights whose design reflects an evolution of Scandinavian design, with its purist, Nordic beauty and simple functionality.
