A large number of feathers – around 4,500, to be precise – were used to create the beautiful lampshade of the Eos Large floor lamp. The feathers are real and come from geese. They are soft and fluffy, and the lampshade has the same soft, fluffy appearance. Even when unlit, the Eos Large floor lamp contributes to a cosy atmosphere in the room, which is further enhanced when the light is switched on and illuminates the surroundings with a soft glow.

The overall look is very natural and, combined with the three-legged base, creates a light source that can be used in a variety of ways in a modern living space.

Note: If the lampshade becomes dirty (e.g. with dust), it can simply be cleaned with a hairdryer.

The Eos Large floor lamp is a design by Søren Ravn Christensen, who has used it to realise precisely what the lighting company UMAGE – of which he is the creative director and co-founder – aims to achieve: the evolution of Scandinavian design through meticulous craftsmanship.
