The Acorn hanging light is characterised by its very atmospheric light, making it ideal, for example, as a light source above a table or a kitchen worktop.

The hanging light takes its name from its creative origins. The English word ‘acorn’ refers to the fruit of the oak tree. It was designed by the Danish designer Jacob Rudbeck, who draws his inspiration from nature, which he considers to be the world’s finest graphic designer.

He thus created the rounded square shape of the lampshade, featuring a white silicone cap, clear glass walls and a core of polished copper symbolising the fruit. The metal lends the diffused light a cosy glow, giving the lighting an all-round cosy feel.

Rudbeck designed Acorn for the Danish lighting company UMAGE, which has set itself the goal of further developing Scandinavian design in its products.
