Round table lamp in Art Decó design This table lamp is based on a model from the Art Decó period, which was developed in France in 1930 by an unknown designer. The spherical lampshade made of white opal glass is 25 centimetres in diameter. The shape is echoed in the base on which it rests: This consists of three spherical metal elements, which are available in a choice of chrome, brass or copper. The key stylistic elements of Art Decó, which particularly influenced furniture design and architecture at the time, include valuable raw materials, bold colours and cool elegance. The manufacturer Tecnolumen confirms the quality of this table lamp with a number and the company's own stamp. Modern classics - the Tecnolumen range The lighting manufacturer Tecnolumen is a company that has set itself the task of breathing new life into the classics of Bauhaus, Art Decó and De Stijl. In 1979, the year the company was founded, Walter Schnepel, himself a designer, began to reissue Wilhelm Wagenfeld's table lamp, which he designed at the famous Bauhaus in 1924. This was followed by further lights and models by Wagenfeld, Marianne BRANDT and other artists. And the present also attracts plenty of attention: contemporary designers also design for the German manufacturer Tecnolumen. These include company founder Walter Schnepel himself.
