OMLED One s5L – a high-quality hanging light featuring OLEDs

The light element of the OMLED One s5L OLED hanging light is divided into five sections, with organic LEDs arranged in each section. The light consists predominantly of glass, which acts as a light diffuser whilst also serving as both a control element and a circuit board. Glass is one of humanity’s oldest materials, offering infinite variety. ‘Organic light-emitting diodes’, or OLEDs, combine many advantages and emit UV-free and IR-free light, which creates a pleasant atmosphere in the room without causing glare. The manufacturing process was developed and patented in Germany.

Thin layers of semiconducting organic materials sandwiched between two electrically conductive layers serve as the bulb and emit light as long as current flows. The glass light housing acts both as a control element and a circuit board. The light is dimmable via the integrated control element on the glass.
