Karl-Johan wall light with glass lampshade
The Karl-Johan wall light was designed by Signe Hytte, a Danish designer who works for New Works, among others. Hytte drew inspiration for Karl-Johan from a walk in the autumn forest. The mushroom shape of the lampshade is unmistakable. The wall mount is made of oak, while the spherical lampshade is made of glass.
The Karl-Johan series of lights by Signe Hytte is produced and distributed by the Danish company New Works. The Copenhagen-based company's range includes furniture, lights and other decorative and interior design items. The style can be described as a mixture of design and art in the spirit of Scandinavian minimalism.
