Mini Lampe de Marseille – expansive, adjustable wall light with two-sided light emission

This version of the Lampe de Marseille wall light is a slightly smaller version of its big sister. The characteristic head of the series, which is equipped with a flat conical shade on one side and a narrow conical shade on the other, also adorns the Mini Lampe de Marseille. The arm can be tilted and rotated at two points, allowing the position and angle of the head to be adjusted and the living area to be illuminated by either a narrow or a wide cone of light. The switch on the cable allows direct and indirect lighting to be controlled simultaneously and conveniently switched on and off.

The wall light is part of a series that the Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier intended to furnish the "Unité d'Habitation" residential building type he designed. After an initial implementation in Marseille in 1947, further examples of the "Unité d'Habitation" were also built in other French cities and in Berlin until 1965.
