Industrial-inspired Zenc pendant light – Design: Joan Gaspar
The creator of this aesthetic and slightly industrial-looking hanging light, Joan Gaspar, was inspired during a stay in New York by the water tanks that have been used on building roofs since the 19th century, and thus created a very special light source for basic or area lighting, e.g. above a dining table.
The lampshade looks as if it is made of zinc, the metal traditionally used to manufacture these water tanks. Even the joints are visible. However, the lampshade is made of double-layered polyethylene and painted white on the inside for optimal light reflection.
