Classic floor lamp by Vilhelm Lauritzen: Model VL38 now with LED Among the most famous works by Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984) are the Danish broadcasting centre "Radiohuset" in Copenhagen and the first airport in the Danish capital. In terms of lighting, he is best known for the VL38 model named after him, which he designed in the late 1930s for the very same "Radiohuset". The Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen included the model in its catalogue at the time, and today this Klassik is experiencing a revival. It has been equipped with LED technology, making it a modern lighting solution with a popular retro look. The head and standpipe of the floor lamp can be tilted slightly and adapted to the user's needs. Die brightness can be switched to two levels (50 and 100 %) - including a memory function. Another practical function of the VL38 LED floor lamp is the Timer, which switches the light off automatically after four or eight hours. Note: The brass parts of the floor lamp are untreated and may therefore develop a patina over time.
