Black AJ Garden LED base luminaire with earth piece and adapterThe AJ Garden LED base luminaire is made of the robust materials aluminium, stainless steel and polycarbonate. Thanks to protection class IP65, it can be used flexibly outdoors. It emits a shielded, glare-free, direct light towards the ground. The luminaire head is fixed and the inside of the shade is painted white so that the light is pleasantly reflected. The shape of the shade provides first-class lighting and thus enables an optimal view of the surroundings. The outdoor luminaire is mounted with a ground piece, an adapter is included. This is located outside the luminaire and can be used to operate up to 6 base luminaires. If several luminaires are to be connected in series, a bollard luminaire with adapter is required, all other luminaires do not need an adapter. The maximum distance to the last luminaire is 30 metres.The AJ luminaire series was designed in 1957 by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Jacobsen was born in Copenhagen and graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Art as an architect in 1927. Buildings designed by him can be found in Denmark, Germany and Great Britain. The AJ lamps are considered Jacobsen's best work and are today a classic of the lamp manufacturer Louis Poulsen.
