Hand-folded designer pendant light Snowdrop The Snowdrop pendant light, whose white paper shade has been folded by hand, provides atmospheric lighting in many living spaces. For more than 75 years, the manufacturer Le Klint has been producing designer lights in Denmark, more precisely in Odense on the island of Funen, which are largely characterised by the uniqueness of the lampshades. These are made of paper or plastic and are still folded by hand, as it has not yet been possible to have this filigran folding technique done by machines in the unique quality demanded by the manufacturer. This is why the company still employs folders who learn their craft in a three-year training programme at Hausen. Alongside many Neu creations, the Klassik lights from the 1940s are still among the bestsellers of this renowned Danish lighting manufacturer, whose company history began when architect P. V. Jensen-Klint folded a lampshade for a paraffin lamp. The company was founded in 1943 and the first shop was opened at the same address in Copenhagen, where it is still located today.
