Candeo Air therapy and pendant light with LEDs In collaboration with the Finnish design lighting manufacturer Innolux, designer Katriina Nuutinen has created a pendant light with LEDs that can be used both as general lighting and as a therapy light. When there is little daylight in the winter months, such therapy lights can alleviate seasonal depression. The lampshade of the pendant light is made of aluminium and the diffuser disc, which reduces glare, is made of acrylic. What makes the light so special is its inner workings. It contains two different LED light sources for different purposes. One light source is warm white and intended for general lighting, while the other is cool white and much brighter, which is why it is used for light therapy. Switching between the two light sources is made possible by a small switch on the lampshade. Another practical feature is that you can vary the suspension system of the light directly on the cable. Light therapy requires regular exposure to a certain luminous intensity that imitates daylight as much as possible. With the Candeo Air pendant light, you can use mealtimes or reading the newspaper at the dining table, for example, to "fill up on light" in the truest sense of the word.
