Ingo Maurer Birdie’s Nest ceiling light, 10-bulb

Birdie’s Nest ceiling light with handcrafted goose-feather wings

Anyone familiar with Ingo Maurer’s Lucellino will immediately recognise that Birdie’s Nest is a further evolution of this classic light fitting. The hallmark of the Lucellino is also evident in Birdie’s Nest – the literally winged light bulb, here in a new LED version. Ten LED bulbs are adorned with real goose feathers. Just like little birds, they seem to have just left their nest and are about to flutter across the room. This impression is created by transparent cables and flexible metal wires, which keep the lamps connected to the ceiling canopy despite their urge to fly free. Thanks to the flexibility of the wires, you can constantly give these unusual light birds a different direction of flight.

The designer Ingo Maurer is renowned for his unconventional, creative lighting designs, which never cease to delight with their ingenious touches. For lovers of imaginative interiors – and, of course, not least for fans of extraordinary light art – the Birdie’s Nest ceiling light is just what the doctor ordered.

The light is fitted with an integrated transformer, which makes it dimmable using a universal LED dimmer.
