Individually adjustable BL3 floor lamp - chrome frame The BL3 floor lamp is a master of versatility in terms of appearance and function. It allows the frame to be individually aligned so that the light can be customised to suit personal needs. The British industrial designer Robert Dudley Best (1892 - 1984) - a contemporary of Walter Gropius - was inspired by the Bauhaus style for the design. With its purist, timelessly elegant look, the BL3 floor lamp can also be integrated into numerous contemporary living styles. The first light in the Bestlite series, the BL1 table lamp, was initially used primarily in workshops due to its high level of functionality. It was also used by the Royal Air Force. It became famous as Winston Churchill's desk lamp and is now recognised worldwide as an Ikon of sophisticated design. Bestlite is represented in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite lamp series has been manufactured by Gubi since 2004. The Danish company is known for the excellent quality of the furniture and lights it produces.
