Designer floor lamp Kaiser idell™ with glossy surface This floor lamp, designed by Christian Dell, is a typical representative of the legendary Bauhaus style and combines the classic elements of modernism - sphere, cylinder and circle. It was launched in 1931, is equipped with the patented swivel joint lampshade designed for this lamp series and blends into many interior styles with its aesthetic appearance. Christian Dell (1893-1974), a German silversmith and designer who also worked as a master craftsman in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in WEIMAR, created true cult objects in Bauhaus design with the Kaiser Idell™ lamp series, a design style that continues to enjoy unbroken popularity.

Today, this beautiful floor lamp is produced by the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN, whose origins date back to 1872, when the carpenter Fritz Hansen from Nakskov was granted a trading licence for Copenhagen. He continued to expand his company and, thanks to the quality maxim pursued by him and his son Christian, achieved a high reputation, which brought him important orders in the first fifty years, such as furnishing the university library, Copenhagen City Hall and much more. In 1979, Skandinavisk Holding took over 75% of the shares in the previously purely family-run company. Through innovation and expansion, FRITZ HANSEN became known beyond Denmark over the next few decades. In 2015, the company acquires the Danish lighting company Lightyears, whose design philosophy reflects that of FRITZ HANSEN.
