Light bulb(s) not included
Aesthetically designed Caravaggio™ pendant light in Scandinavian style - with opal glass shade This version of the Caravaggio™ pendant light by Danish designer Cecilie Mite is fitted with a hand-blown opal glass lampshade that emits the light from the bulb directly downwards and glare-free through the glass to the sides. This creates a cosy lighting atmosphere. Caravaggio™ can be used as a solitaire, e.g. as basic or area lighting in a private home, but also adequately lights a restaurant counter when hung in a row, for example. The minimalist design with modern trains is typical of the work of Cecilie Manz, who came into contact with design as a child through her parents' artistic activities. She studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1992 and then spent a semester abroad at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. The artist, who prefers to work alone in her own studio, which she founded after graduating, drawing her ideas on paper and giving form to her designs in her workshop in the basement of the Studio, says that she sees her works as fragments of a large, ongoing story in which projects are often connected or related to each other in terms of ideas, materials and aesthetics across time and function. Her creativity is not limited to luminaire design, however; she also designs ceramics, accessories for the home and furniture. The decorative Caravaggio™ glass pendant light is manufactured by FRITZ HANSEN, a Danish company that has been working with renowned designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Bruno and the Danish designer, among others, since 1872. A. Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Mathsson, Kaare Klint, Verner Panton and Hans J. Wegner and is considered a guarantee for quality products that have the status of design icons far beyond the borders of Denmark.
