Gem tavolo alta table lamp by Foscarini inspired by sound waves Founded in 1981, the Foscarini brand has always focussed on Glas as a material and constantly seeks to reinterpret it in innovative ways. In cooperation with the designer duo Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, the Gem lamp series was created, inspired by the reaction of liquid to various sound waves. The glass of the round lampshade is mouth-blown and is given a pattern of fine lines using an elaborate moulding technique. The pattern looks like gentle Wells that seem to flow over the entire surface. This makes the material appear very delicate and enchants the viewer with an interesting interplay of three-dimensional facets. Das pattern makes the light a true work of art even when it is switched off. The clear lines of the metal base contrast with the flowing design of the lampshade and its simplicity draws the viewer's attention to the glass shade. The integrated dimmer allows the brightness of the light to be individually adjusted depending on the choice of bulb.
