Foscarini Gem semi wall light made of glass, gold

Elegant Gem semi wall light with three-dimensional pattern The name "Gem" translates as "jewel" or "treasure" and is a more than fitting name for this beautifully shaped light. The wall light represents the preciousness of the material glass and epitomises the artistic craftsmanship for which the premium manufacturer Foscarini is so well known worldwide. When switched on, the light enchants with a multi-faceted interplay of different nuances of light and also presents itself as an elegant decorative object when switched off. Gem has a lampshade made of mouth-blown glass, the surface of which is covered with a geometric pattern of grooves. The satin-finished glass blocks the light and provides the room with a cosy glow. The arrangement of the grooves gives the light a flowing appearance that has a very soft effect on the viewer. When designing the light, the designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba were inspired by sound waves hitting a liquid. The result is the same flowing pattern that characterises the Gem wall light and makes it an extraordinary lighting accent.
