Exciting inversion - Black Light designer table lamp The shape of a traditional light bulb plays an important role in the "Signature Collection" by designer James Wines. Its archetypal shape is interpreted here in five different variations. Together with Wines' SITE Group, an impressive designer collection was created, the so-called "Light Bulb Series", which was specially designed for collectors and is sold by Foscarini in a limited and numbered edition. One object from this collection is the Black Light table lamp. This consists of a mouth-blown glass shade with a traditional light bulb look, which sits on a holder modelled on the shape of a classic socket. While the traditional light bulb normally provides the light, here the light comes from the lower part, i.e. the socket. This reversal of the functions of both parts is the special feature of the Black Light table lamp. The glass is deep black and does not let any light through. Only the lower part is the part that emits the light from the integrated warm white LEDs. The Black Light LED table lamp is part of the collector's collection "The Light Bulb Series". Nevertheless, it can be purchased individually and not as a limited edition light. Together with Foscarini, Wines developed this model as an affordable option for all those who are enthusiastic about the interpretations. The Black Light is also supplied in a special box.
