Organically designed Hinaki bamboo pendant light - designed by David Trubridge Originally from England and now based in New Zealand with his family, designer David Trubridge attaches great importance to the naturalness and sustainability of the materials used in his work. The trained shipbuilder settled in New Zealand after a five-year voyage on a sailing yacht and processes the impressions he gained during this trip and the inspirations of his new homeland into imaginative designer pieces. The Hinaki pendant light owes its net-like appearance with its seemingly interwoven wooden elements to the Maori fishing nets that gave David Trubridge the idea for this extravagant luminaire. When the light is switched on, the net structure creates an effective interplay of light and shadow in the surroundings. When switched off, the light is also a highlight for any interior design. Hinaki is supplied in individual parts that need to be assembled. Detailed assembly instructions are included in the delivery.
