Design table lamp Itka with hand-blown glass shade The Itka table lamp, created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for Artemide, emits its light over the entire surface of the white, hand-blown glass lampshade. This is designed in the shape of a lens and is supported by a visible steel base. The table lamp can be used in a variety of ways for Akzent and mood lighting, on the sideboard in the living room, on the bedside table or in a café. Naoto Fukasawa studied product design at Tama Art University and was subsequently responsible for advanced developments at Seiko Epson. From 1989 to 1996, he lived and worked in the USA. After returning to his native Japan, he founded and managed the IDEO office in Tokio. In 2003, he set up his own Studio "Naoto Fukasawa Design". He designs products for well-known companies worldwide, including the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, the company is recognised worldwide for the outstanding quality of its products.
