LED wall light ‘Alphabet of Light’ – a new language of light by BIG

The ‘Alphabet of Light’ allows you to express freedom: to let your thoughts run free and form words and sentences that convey a very specific meaning or message.

The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has designed a new typeface whose medium of expression is light. This alphabet can be used to create a wide variety of lighting designs in both private and public spaces.

The individual letters, numbers and symbols are supplied in blister packs, which ensure a secure fit during installation. This installation method is suitable for plasterboard walls that have a cavity at the rear, in which the required driver (available as an accessory) and the supply cables can be housed.

The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is a collective of architects and designers who prioritise technical expertise in their projects. The ‘Alphabet of Light’ series of lights reflects this, as do projects such as the Harbour Bath in Copenhagen (2003), the 8 House (2010), Superkilen (2012) and the Danish Maritime Museum.
